Come for a free, docent-led tour of our main building! Several rooms have been reinterpreted to provide you with a more comprehensive look at the three centuries of history made here. Learn more about everyone who lived here, from Benjamin Hoyt who built the first structure on the property in 1713 to architect Cass Gilbert who, with his wife Julia Finch Gilbert, owned the “Cannonball House” for the 1st half of the 20th-century.

Each session is a week-long local history program that offers boys and  girls a unique chance to explore life in historic Ridgefield through a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities, including crafts, games, songs, stories, and foods from centuries past. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to step back into history and discover first-hand what life was like in historic Ridgefield as exemplified by the people who lived at Keeler Tavern Museum.
