Poetry in the Garden (formerly "A Garden of Verse") is back for another summer season! The series, produced by Ridgefield Poet Laureate Emerita Barb Jennes, will feature some of the nation's leading poets. Join us in KTM&HC's beautiful historic walled garden for weekly readings throughout the month of July. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and readings begin at 7 p.m.

The last reading of the season, on July 29, features Oliver de la Paz and Nathan McClain.

Oliver de la Paz is the Poet Laureate of Worcester, MA. He is the author of seven poetry collections, the newest of which—The Diaspora Sonnets (Liveright Press, 2023)—was long listed for the National Book Award and received the 2023 New England Book Award. Oliver serves on the board for Poetry Daily and as co-chair of the Kundiman advisory board.

Nathan McClain is a poet, editor, and. He is the author of Previously Owned (Four Way Books, 2022) and Scale (Four Way Books, 2017).  He is Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and African American Literary Arts at Hampshire College and serves as Poetry Editor of The Massachusetts Review.
