Which of these Ridgefield place names is not associated with the Revolutionary War?
Seth Low Pierrepont was an early 20th century “summer person”, a foreign service officer whose 600-acre estate now includes a state park, Scotland School, and other, private property.
Armand, Berthier, and Rochambeau were all French soldiers. Louis-Alexander Berthier served under the Comte de Rochambeau, who was the commander of French land forces sent to aid the Continental Army. Charles Armand Tuffin, known as Col. Armand, served in the Continental Army and led a corps of foreign volunteer soldiers known as "Armand's Legion."
