Learn About the History of Dairy at Taproom Tastings on Feb. 13

February 5, 2024

Ridgefield, Conn.— The next installment of Taproom Tastings, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center’s popular virtual program, is Tuesday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. Join KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and Hendrick I. Lott House Board Member Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli as they investigate the history of dairy.

Catherine and Mary’s relaxed, conversational style is an engaging way to get unique and entertaining insights into America’s culinary histories and learn how food and drink have long been central to building and maintaining community and cultural identity.

This month, our expert co-hosts will explore dairy, one of humanity’s oldest agricultural industries. They will discuss how dairying and dairy products have shaped the American landscape, economy, culture, and even legislation.

The Taproom Tastings virtual series runs monthly through May. Upcoming episode topics include the history of restaurants, gin, and food innovation. The programs are free for all, with a suggested donation of $10, and registration is required.
