Ridgefield, Conn.— Tickets are now on sale for “Behind the Headlines: The Evolution of Investigative Reporting” at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) on Thursday, February 27. Explore the transformative power of investigative journalism with Mike McIntire, a Pulitzer Prize winner and reporter for The New York Times

Discover how investigative journalism shaped pivotal moments in American history, the vital role of holding power accountable, and current trends in the newspaper industry. 

A Ridgefield resident and member of the investigative unit at The Times, McIntire got his start as a newspaper reporter right out of college in 1985, when he was hired by The Wilton Bulletin. Over the course of his journalistic career, McIntire was part of three reporting teams that won Pulitzer Prizes and he was a finalist two other times. Since joining The Times in 2003, McIntire has produced in-depth stories on a wide range of subjects, including presidential politics, terrorism, and gun violence. 

This in-person event will be held in KTM&HC’s Garden House on Thursday, February 27 at 7 p.m. Parking is available onsite at 152 Main Street, Ridgefield. General admission is $15/person, with discounts available for KTM&HC members and students. Purchase tickets at www.keelertavernmuseum.org/events.
