The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) and Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) collaborate to present Heritage in Motion: Identity Through Music - a music and history-based concert series featuring exceptional musicians and dynamic performances presented in the Keeler Tavern Museum Garden House. On Sunday October 19th at 4:00 PM, we welcome Francesca McNeeley & Friends to Ridgefield with a focus on American classical music.
Francesca McNeeley & Friends is quartet Annie Rabbat and Lillit Hartunian, violins, Miki-Sophia Cloud viola and Francesca McNeeley, cello. The group will perform a creative, interactive program including Middleground by Shelley Washington (b. 1991 -), Quartet No. 1 in G Major by Florence Price (1887-1953), Entracte by Caroline Shaw (b. 1982 and a Pulitzer Prize winning composer), Quartet in One Movement by Amy Beach (1867-1944) and Strum by Jessie Montgomery (b. 1981 and GRAMMY® Award-winning composer).
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the RSO, and this year’s Heritage in Motion concert promises to be another fantastic performance,” says KTM&HC Executive Director Hildegard Grob. “This collaboration between our arts and humanities organizations creates important space for celebrating the richness and diversity of our heritage.”
“We welcome these marvelous musicians to Ridgefield to perform in this wonderful setting for chamber music!” says RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy. “The entire RSO 2025/26 season is a celebration of HOME, and what that means to us individually, as a community, and as a nation, tying into the upcoming celebration of the 250th anniversary celebration of the Declaration of Independence – America250. This concert celebrates American music, and specifically female composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.”
The concert will be held on Sunday, October 19th at 4:00 PM at the Keeler Tavern Museum Garden House (152 Main Street, Ridgefield). Doors open at 3:30 PM for wine and cheese. Concert begins at 4:00 PM.
