KTM&HC Announces Search for New Executive Director

January 15, 2026

Ridgefield, Conn.— The Board of Directors of Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) today launched a search for a new executive director to replace Hildegard Grob, who is retiring on June 30 after more than 14 years in the position. KTM&HC is seeking a leader with a strong financial and development background.

“We are entering an exciting time for the Museum as we celebrate a series of important milestones: America 250, our own 60th anniversary, and the 250th anniversary of the 1777 Battle of Ridgefield,” said David Yaun, president of KTM&HC’s Board of Directors. “These events present our incoming director with unique and compelling opportunities to deepen engagement with the community while ensuring the long-term financial stability of the Museum.”

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, KTM&HC is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the rich history of our national experience through the lens of the people, events, and buildings that have populated its site over hundreds of years. Located on Ridgefield, CT’s culturally vibrant Main Street, KTM&HC fosters critical thinking through exhibitions, educational programs, and public events.

Ideal candidates will have at least three to five years of senior leadership experience at a nonprofit cultural institution; a proven track record of fundraising and development success; strong administrative, financial, and operational oversight experience; outstanding communications skills; and a deep passion for history that fosters a strong commitment to the Museum’s mission.

“As we enter this new and vibrant era for the Museum, it has never been more important to promote engagement, curiosity, and understanding of the experiences that have shaped and continue to shape our communities,” Yaun said. “We look forward to welcoming a leader who shares our vision and commitment to ongoing learning and open dialogue about how the events of the past connect to the present and continue to shape our future.”
