Benefit Events
Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center holds two signature fundraising events annually, the Cannonball Gala in the spring and the Fall Party @ Keeler in the fall. Both events raise critical funding for KTM&HC’s operating and education budgets. Ticket sales, sponsorships, and auction revenue are crucial to maintaining our role in the community.
Cannonball Gala
The 2019 Cannonball Gala was held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center.
The evening’s festivities honored Ed and Gaetana McGill with a presentation of the Cannonball Award. The evening featured cocktails in the garden, a sit-down dinner in the Garden House by Ciao! Catering and Events, silent auction, live auction with auctioneer Ira Joe Fisher, and live music by the Ridgefield Jazz Giants. Proceeds from the Cannonball Gala benefit KTM&HC’s general operating budget and help us to maintain our role in the community.
The 2019 Fall Party to Benefit School Programs
Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center was the place to be in Ridgefield on Saturday evening, September 14, 2019, as the regional history center threw a spirited party and fundraiser to benefit its school programs. Some 150 attendees enjoyed cocktails, jazz, food, dessert, and entertainment throughout the gorgeous gardens and candlelit four-acre campus, including a hula-hoop fire-arts performance and a live auction hosted by comedian Christine O’Leary. The Fall Party benefits our school programs, which serve some 2,500 school children from 21 of schools across the region with unique classroom experiences for teaching history and civics. This year, we honored Thomas Broderick, Scotts Ridge Middle School teacher, as the recipient of the Anna Keeler Award for Excellence in History and Civics Education.
