School Docent

Share your passion for history and education with students of all ages, whether you’re a history enthusiast or an experienced teacher. All school docents receive training on KTM&HC’s history, artifacts, and lesson plans. School docent is a high time-commitment role that requires extra training.

Museum Interpreter/Tours

Become a volunteer interpreter and share our stories with visitors from all over the world on guided tours of the Museum or walking tours of our historic site. Junior interpreters welcome! Museum Interpreter is a high time-commitment role that requires extra training.

Garden Committee

Spend time outdoors caring for the seasonal plantings inside the Walled Garden. Members meet weekly from spring through fall to maintain our beautiful site.

Community Programs & Events

Volunteer to help with the exciting programs and events that take place on our historic site year-round, including youth programs, family events, fundraisers, galas, lectures, and more.

Internships

KTM&HC offers opportunities for high school and college students looking for museum experience. Assist our staff with education, collections, communications, and more – a great way to build skills for future academic and professional endeavors.

Retail

Help contribute to the museum’s fundraising efforts by volunteering for set up, staffing, and cleanup at events like the Holiday Boutique and Tag Sale.

Board Service

The Museum Board is comprised of volunteers who dedicate significant time and expertise to shaping KTM&HC on a strategic level. Candidates are nominated, interviewed, and invited to serve on a rolling basis.
