Join us for the next program in our "Declaration Deep Dive" series, a collaboration between KTM&HC and Ridgefield Library to commemorate America 250.
On December 4th on Zoom, Matthew Skic, Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Museum of the American Revolution, will discuss his museum's exciting new major exhibition.
In July 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. To mark that milestone in our nation’s history, the Museum of the American Revolution is set to open the special exhibition The Declaration’s Journey on October 18, 2025, to reflect upon the 250-year global impact of the Declaration of Independence. Matthew Skic, project director of The Declaration’s Journey, will discuss the development of the exhibition and how the Declaration of Independence has become one of the most influential political documents in modern history.

Matthew Skic serves as the Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia. He joined the Museum’s staff in 2016 after graduating from the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture at the University of Delaware. Since the Museum opened in 2017, Matthew has curated multiple award-winning exhibitions including Cost of Revolution: The Life and Death of an Irish Soldierand Black Founders: The Forten Family of Philadelphia.
